I admit I love nostalgic moments, even if it means watching the opening theme of 80's cartoon. And here's one that I almost forgotten, the righteous, environmentalist, white skin hero called Captain Planet!

@Huffingtonpost
Captain Planet cartoon series was created by Ted Turner in 1993. It tells the story of Gaia who wanted to put a stop to the Eco-Villains. Hence, Gaia created 5 magical rings, and 5 person was chosen to wear it.

With 5 rings combined, Planeteers can summon Captain Planet to save the world from pollution. He was invincible, however his only weakness was to be exposed to source of pollution (seems like a really poor weakness).

Don Cheadle and team decided to revive Captain Planet to live. Don was best known as the War Machine in Marvel's Iron Man.

Iron Man and War Machine in Iron Man 2013 @marvel
Can't believe a man behind a heavy armoured costume and Captain Planet was the same person. Don put himself into the costume, put on the green hair wig and spray himself white (though he is African American in nature). Voila, Captain Planet was born!

Ok I know this video isn't new anymore. But at least it brought up the funny moments once again for those who nearly forgotten our favourite who fights against pollution.

Here's another one of the fan-made trailer . People just love Captain Planet!

Just a few days after the San Diego Comic Con, people were all crazy about any latest events. Well, how could we forget about the gadget and toy showcase.

This is one of them. 1/4 Scale Super Alloy Hulkbuster figure showcased in the Comicave booth. Beneath the giant is the Iron Man Mark 43 armor from the inside! This giant that stand four foot tall, pulled quite a number of crowd into the booth, no doubt about that.

Great texture, awesome job on painting, and that glinting steel plate coat of body!  How else can they do better with this? I am going to save my pay check this month to bring this baby back home.

I was looking at the picture of The Incredible Hulk, made 100% with scrap metals. The first look at it, I did not believe it was made out of scrap metals. It looked perfectly clean and curved. I was so impressed I decided to find out who was the great talent behind these works.

Apparently, this is the work of the crews of this shop called BanHunLek from Thailand. This shop is known for making sculptures and character designs using spare parts and scrap metals.

What's awesome about this team is that, they have made several notable works that earned them reputation. Some of the characters like The Hulk, Robocop, Iron Man and so on.

You can find out more of their works on their Facebook account. All pictures are credits of BanHunLek's Facebook account.

The Incredible Hulk, made from scrap metal. Guess it weight heavier than 20 men

A real angry metal face

An awesome feature of the Optimus Prime in their workshop. Equipped with spare tyres as well!
Here's the BumbleBee and the chick! She's prettier than Megan Fox in my opinion

Marvellous model of Captain Davy Jones from Pirates of the Carribean. Steel tentacles...hmmm, looks heavy
Iron Man (colourless). Maybe they intend to design the War Machine instead

Geek lives in the world of fandom and superheroes. I admitted that being me.

But some fell in love with fandom so much that they put it out in their own makeups. Geeknation, if you wanted some inspiration for a makeover, try some of those here.

Superheroes nail art! Geek chicks can now put their nail art into play. Pimp your nails with the face of Batman or Robin. Geek boys will probably get turned on by that fashionable state-of-the-art nail drawings (which is normally the least they will notice among all things).

Seductive and sensuous lipstick. Lips are probably the sexiest feature of the face, at least Angelina Jolie would think so. Put on some artistic lip art on it. Some Cap America's star shield or Superman's signature logo. Geek boys got so turned on that they're fantasizing on a kiss!

Mascara on that electrifying eyes. Eyes that look different in every way and any colours. Put on some fearsome green for that masculine hulk or maybe a black widow sexy and ass-kicking feature. Perhaps geek boys just love some nasty, sexy women in their eyes. *meeow*

Masculine moustache. Geek boys, forget about that geek beards. Let's do some of the extraordinary facial hair that turned all geek chicks on! Shaved your beard to a Batman's or that Spider-Man's, nobody will ever stare at you less than 2 seconds. Power up!

We were so hooked up in arcade games sometimes we forget about the real world. Imagine what happens if we gather our favourite arcade games and turn it into real life action.

Jason Paul, a parkour runner did a video with his team. Bringing in all our favourite arcade game into a live-action video. Featuring himself!

How do you like the fact that you can step into the real Temple Run? Or jumping down the haystack like Ezio in Assassin's Creed? Or fighting evil ninja and save the world?

Enjoy the arcade run, Geeknation!

Raul Oaida, a Romanian guy has so much passion and dedication on technology that he self-taught himself on it. Then he met Steve Sammartino, an entrepreneur and marketer.

Together they came out with their own little project called Super Micro Awesome Project. Don't get fooled by the name. The project is an awesome piece. They have designed a life-sized Lego car that can be driven by human.

This Lego car is made up of 500,000 Lego pieces. The innovative vehicle is accelerate with engine that runs on air. It has 4 orbital engines and 256 pistons (made of Lego!)

Since it runs on air, don't expect it to move too fast. It's top speed is only 20-30km/h. At least it's the beginning of a first model.

Awesome, now let's watch and see how Lego car was driven on the road!

Naruto Shippuden, the popular manga that has 15-years streak has come to an end. But the character has not been forgotten. Not when there are Cosplay fans who doesn't want to stop. Maybe some people just love manga, perhaps some just love to fantasize sexy image of manga character in real-life.

Frequent flyers are bored of the regular safety demostration and video. Air New Zealand, the country's local carrier decided to put their creativity up another level.

airnewzealand.co.nz
A Lord of the Rings inspired safety video featuring characters from LOTR itself. Watching the video, you would have agreed that it was probably the most epic airline video ever. With dozens of horses roaming greeny fields. Special guests appearing in the video. Someone we probably know, Elijah Wood in his usual self, Peter Jackson, fake Gandalf the Gray and Orcs (in their usual self too!).

airnewzealand.co.nz
You probably will imagine yourself riding into the world of Middle Earth the moment you fasten your seatbelt.

New Zealand has a growing tourist attraction ever since the popularity of Lord of the  Rings trilogy, followed by The Hobbit franchise. They have specially prepared the Lord of the Rings tour. Travellers can roam around the settings of Middle Earth that took place in New Zealand.

This year marks the last Peter Jackson movie of The Hobbit franchise. He has announced that this will be the last movie from the work of J.R.R Tolkien. So sadly, no more Gandalf after this.

The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies @vcpost.com
Air New Zealand probably wish to throw in budget in this video to bring it as many tourists possible, before the movie ended. Well, I can honestly say, it's a pretty good move. No more boring safety video!

No longer shall we be awed by the fictional technology we seen in the movies or TV. Good news fellow geeks, this month the world has introduced the very first Hoverboard.

Hendo Hoverboard, @ Kickstarter
What's a Hoverboard? Imagine a skateboard, without wheels. Because it doesn't run on the ground. It floats in mid-air.

The creator of this invention, Hendo Hoverboards team were first known through their kickstarter project. Hendo Hoverboards uses electromagnetic energy that allows the board to float in mid-air. It runs with battery that helps it move.

What's more exciting? The team had came up with a 'hoverpark' in Silicon Valley where all the 'hoverboarders' can ride their own Hoverboards like Sci-Fi heroes. The first 250 Kickstarter pledgers who made donation more than $100, has the privilege to fly around the park.

Hoverboard sells at $10,000. It's expensive if you ask me. But new innovation craves for higher monetary value.

Yes, we were hoping that inventors are able to design cars that fly. Or spaceship that roam around planets like Star Trek. But hey, for a start we must be proud that they did a board that can fly!

Be sure to check them out in Kickstarter.

This orchestra group called Cellocyl has created a music that will definitely hit Game of Thrones fans with great impression. They played the whole music with all-cello instruments.

This is something that will definitely make us love the show even more! Game of Thrones is now moving into Season 5, and have started filming on July 2014 in Belfast.

How many times have we been conned by a food advertisement? The first thing that came on my mind was the ad by KFC.

A typical colonel burger looks delicious at every bite. In real life, it looks like a tiny bun stuffed with a piece of lettuce and a chunk of chicken meat! I can't describe how I hated it when I opened the wrapper.

Well, it's not that these companies want to con us of our money. But they are NOT honest with their food illustration.

Today we witness a burger chain in Japan, Lotteria who came up with the extravagant 5-patty Tower Cheese Burger. It struck the heart of burger lovers. Selling at just 500 yen (US$4.66) was just darn cheap for a tall sandwich.

Lotteria.com
But as you happily bought the Tower Cheese Burger, you find your favourite seat. As you opened up the wrapper, you may be shocked by what you would be seeing.

This is what you're seeing in real life:

It's fine not to be perfect. But seeing this, it looked far beyond imperfect. Lotteria perhaps got to do some quality control. Maybe burger without the cheese looks more appetizing.

What used to be an old tattered school bus has been revamped. When take a look inside this vehicle, you don't see no school bus. It is now a modern living cabin, best of all it's mobile.

This genius called Hank Buttita is an architect student. His grandfather has an 80 acre land in Winconsin. Very much a view of mother nature and forest. Our dear friend here decided to make use of the 80-acre land for a change.

So instead of just doing a common final year project, he decided to do something awesome. Hence, he bought an old school bus. Together with his brother, designed the layout of the vehicle, and make his dream come true.

After 15 weeks of hard work, and sweat. This is the result of the magnificent mobile cabin!

A view of the driver's seat and two deluxe bed placed next to the window

This is the 'living room' and long aisle of sofa for passenger, or rather should I call them 'guests'?

A landscape view of the elongated mobile cabin. Here we see the kitchen then to the living room and right up to the cosy bed.

If there's a room, of course there's need for hygiene. This is where all your trash and overnight pizza goes..

A morning view you can enjoy the moment you open your eyes. Rise and shine!

If it's how you get into the mobile cabin. Don't ask your grandpa do come in, old man can't climb that high.

Okay if you love this cabin, and dying to do the same to your bus...here's the simple floor plan for your guide. Good luck building your own happy cabin.

Finally, we're all curious to know how Hank did it. After watching this video, it gave much inspiration and envy too!
