I admit I love nostalgic moments, even if it means watching the opening theme of 80's cartoon. And here's one that I almost forgotten, the righteous, environmentalist, white skin hero called Captain Planet!

@Huffingtonpost
Captain Planet cartoon series was created by Ted Turner in 1993. It tells the story of Gaia who wanted to put a stop to the Eco-Villains. Hence, Gaia created 5 magical rings, and 5 person was chosen to wear it.

With 5 rings combined, Planeteers can summon Captain Planet to save the world from pollution. He was invincible, however his only weakness was to be exposed to source of pollution (seems like a really poor weakness).

Don Cheadle and team decided to revive Captain Planet to live. Don was best known as the War Machine in Marvel's Iron Man.

Can't believe a man behind a heavy armoured costume and Captain Planet was the same person. Don put himself into the costume, put on the green hair wig and spray himself white (though he is African American in nature). Voila, Captain Planet was born!

Ok I know this video isn't new anymore. But at least it brought up the funny moments once again for those who nearly forgotten our favourite who fights against pollution.

Here's another one of the fan-made trailer . People just love Captain Planet!

Ant-Man was the highlight for this month. But just in case we forgotten that X-Men's latest reboot was a hit and wonders to every X-Men fans on the planet. So to remind us again, latest X-Men franchise will be on screen next year, 2016.

Bryan Singer will continue to direct the upcoming movie. Marvel hasn't been very public during the San Diego Comic Con this year, but 'fraid not! We've seen some of the latest X-Men: Apocalypse snapshots from the web.

Some may be familiar (or maybe not) with the bunch of characters. Here we have the NEW Psylocke, Cyclops, and new characters like Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Storm and of course the Apocalypse!

The Apocalypse, biggest highlight for this movie! Looks like someone else......

I can't help but thinking they used the same costume designer!!

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for releasing some of the pictures of the casts. Here we get to show more:

Tye Sheridan as Cyclops

We have here the Asian Jublee, Lana Condor. That's seriously so 90s

Kodi Smit-Mcphee as that little devil, Nightcrawler

Alexandra Shipp is Storm

Sansa Stark as......I mean Sophie Turner, is Jean Grey (can't get my head of thinking other roles for her)

Oscar Isaac is the Apocalypse and Olivia Munn (right) is the new Psylocke

Just a few days after the San Diego Comic Con, people were all crazy about any latest events. Well, how could we forget about the gadget and toy showcase.

This is one of them. 1/4 Scale Super Alloy Hulkbuster figure showcased in the Comicave booth. Beneath the giant is the Iron Man Mark 43 armor from the inside! This giant that stand four foot tall, pulled quite a number of crowd into the booth, no doubt about that.

Great texture, awesome job on painting, and that glinting steel plate coat of body!  How else can they do better with this? I am going to save my pay check this month to bring this baby back home.

The late Bob Munden (1942 - 2012) was the fastest gun slinger ever known to men. That gave him the Guinness World Record holder and the title 'Fastest Man with a Gun who ever Lived'.

Well even though he was no longer around, his name still lived until today. Not even the gunblazer from Stephen King's Dark Tower can beat this guy.

Watch the video as he pulled up his gun and shoot at the target. Did you see it? I couldn't see it, did not see it coming. He was able to shoot from holster and back, in less than one second.

Now, it's rare to witness such talent on earth. It probably going to take a long time to find another replacement of his title. Unless that candidate is a mutant!

I was looking at the picture of The Incredible Hulk, made 100% with scrap metals. The first look at it, I did not believe it was made out of scrap metals. It looked perfectly clean and curved. I was so impressed I decided to find out who was the great talent behind these works.

Apparently, this is the work of the crews of this shop called BanHunLek from Thailand. This shop is known for making sculptures and character designs using spare parts and scrap metals.

What's awesome about this team is that, they have made several notable works that earned them reputation. Some of the characters like The Hulk, Robocop, Iron Man and so on.

You can find out more of their works on their Facebook account. All pictures are credits of BanHunLek's Facebook account.

The Incredible Hulk, made from scrap metal. Guess it weight heavier than 20 men

A real angry metal face

An awesome feature of the Optimus Prime in their workshop. Equipped with spare tyres as well!
Here's the BumbleBee and the chick! She's prettier than Megan Fox in my opinion

Marvellous model of Captain Davy Jones from Pirates of the Carribean. Steel tentacles...hmmm, looks heavy
Iron Man (colourless). Maybe they intend to design the War Machine instead

Animator and producer got many of their inspiration from the interesting faces around the world.

Perhaps they have met some of them somewhere, and created a cartoonic version of them into their animation. Or maybe these people just look exactly like cartoon character like it or not.

1. Linguini from Ratatouille. This man actually imitated that feature of Linguini. So much as he tried we can't deny he did have some similar feature.

2. Charlie Sheen = Glenn Quagmire. Glenn is the character from animated series 'Family Guy'. Maybe Glenn looked too fat to look like Charlie Sheen. But they just have that same cheeky smile on their face.

3. Dora the Explorer. Little girls' favourite cartoon icon. Now this little girl loved Dora so much that she had her haircut just like cute little Dora. How sweet!

4. Papa Smurf in real life. No you can't deny. They were very likely to have came up with Smurf from this man, I mean seriously!

5. Beavis from animated movie 'Beavis and the Butthead'. I know, this picture look sinister. Looked like a mugshot taken sometime ago. Beavis didn't have a friendly face anyway.

6. Russell from the animated movie 'Up'. This must be some cosplay session. And this boy can go ahead for audition, if they ever had a movie called 'Up - In Real Person'.

7. Chris Griffin from 'The Family Guy'. No one beat this for a lookalike contest.

8. Carl from animated movie 'Up'. This is truly amazing. How could someone look exactly like a cartoon character? Did they really copied him into the movie?

9. Montgomery Burns from The Simpsons. Wonder how would he be watching the Simpsons show if he knew about this?

This bunch of Korean hipster were so pissed at their potato chips bags that was filled full with air. We hate the same thing. Whether it is our bag of Lays or Doritos, it was full of air, instead of chips.

So what these guys did was to make use of the 'air' of their snacks. Doing so by building themselves a floating boat. Rowing from one end to the other. In the video, they decided to include their very own hipster 'flavour' into it by playing Korean pop songs.

I respect that. At least these hipsters were being optimistic. Instead of hating the bag of chips full with air, they make fun of it.

Maybe I should try my own with my potato chips!
The date was 12th July, 2014. Place, London. Station, Mansion House.

We finally found a real Wally West aka The Flash. He was roaming around London with the speed we could not imagine.

comicbookmovie.com
Watch how this guy catches a subway train @ Mansion House. And sped through London street to catch up the same train on the next station. He only has 1 minute 20 seconds to beat the speed of the train.

We always thought commuting on a train is a fast way to reach one destination. After this video, maybe we could be wrong!
